      According to the article, your Google searches require computer servers to process the request, servers that use electricity, electricity that is produced by burning fossil fuels which create Global Warming CO2.

      In short, the usual BS from the so called creator of the Internet, Al Gore.

        Well, they do, but what percentage of internet traffic consists of Google searches? I'd say they take up less bandwidth than say, MMOG does. Games require huge amounts of data continuously moving on the Internet. Or, all the banking that goes on.

        The idea that a Google search is driving the use of the Internet is simply absurd.

          As mentioned often, and it would seem beyond your grasp, the disblief is in the "A"= Anthropogenic~Human caused component of "Climate Change"; "warming" portion appearing to be on hold the past 15+ years. Few of us doubt the NATURAL cycles of climate flux/variation/change.

          And for those looking for some REAL Science relating to Climate variation/cycles of flux/change, I'd recommend this site as one of many to examine;

          • Arctic Ocean almost totally ice-covered – Map

            n the 26th of June! Where’s that (so-called) global warming?

            Look at this map.
            • Purple signifies sea-ice thickness of approximately ½ to 1½ meters (20 inches to 5 ft).
            • Blue or green signifies 1½ to 3 meters ( 5 ft to 10 ft) of ice.
            • Yellow or orange signifies 3 to 4 meters (10 ft to 13 ft) of ice.
            • Red signifies 4 to 5 meters (13 ft to 16 ft) of ice.
            • White signifies zero thickness of ice.

            I don’t see much open water. Do you?

                  That link is another pile of shyte, misleading propaganda.
                  First clue comes in the title lines;

                  Top 5 most polluting countries
                  Discover which nations pump most carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere

                  Second clue is the photo illustration showing smog about a city. Carbon Dioxide-CO2, is a colorless and odorless gas so it can't be seen. That image is showing particulate matter type air pollution which is a different issue and concern, which needs emission standards to address, CO2 is essential to life on this planet and the largest "greenhouse gas" in quantity and effect is "dihydrous oxide"=H2O.

                  Once again, how about some real science from middle school level;

                  1) 99+% of life on this planet, Flora, "green plants" require CO2 to exist and thrive. Minimum optimal level is about 300 ppm(dry air), on average per type of plant. Current levels are about 400ppm which is barely over that minimum threshold. Many greenhouse growing operations run at up to 800-1200ppm with no detrimental effect upon humans working in there.

                  2) At 400ppm of CO2, that works out to 0.0004% of dry atmosphere content. Simple math and chemistry alone should show that shift from 300ppm=0.0003% to 400ppm=0.0004% could not be a major, driving factor of Climate Change or Global Warming.

                  3) Water(H2O) vapor is the major "greenhouse gas" and varies from about 10-20% additional atmospheric content. This could be a significant driving factor of climate change, but almost all of H2O in the atmosphere is from natural process of evaporation. Human emission of H2O is of no significant effect or consequence.

                  4) Historical and geological records show that the global climate is always in change, or flux. Over spans of several thousands of years the trend will be either warming away from an Ice Age or cooling towards an Ice Age. If we try to "fight" global warming, not only are we fighting a natural process, but we could make a bigger mess and drive climate towards cooling into an Ice Age.

                  5) Reducing emission of CO2 from human activities will add un-necessary costs to transportation and manufacturing which will be borne by the end consumers. Meanwhile it will produce no positive gain or effect. If CO2 level is really a concern, then most efficient and cost-effective way to deal with it would be to increase global flora biomass to absorb the CO2.

                  6) Human caused or Anthropogenic Climate Change(ACC) or Anthropogenic Global Warming(AGC) is not driven by science, rather it is a political agenda to apply anti-West and anti-Industrial agendas of anarchists whom don't practice what they preach and are ignorant of the large damage their "solutions" will cause.

                  ACC & AGW are modern versions of flat-Earth thinking.

                    There is one source of significant human emission of water vapor, or I should say conversion in state, into the atmosphere: Contrails. Contrails caused by aircraft emissions have only been present in the atmosphere since the late 1930's. They have grown in number and size ever since. There is finally beginning to be research done on the effects of these, and they are now postulated to cause as much as 25% of anthropogenic warming in the atmosphere.

                    The problem is, this doesn't fit the Left's and environmentalist's narrative that aims to rid the planet of carbon emissions regardless of whether they have any effect or not. The fix is easy. Simply have aircraft fly above or below altitudes that cause contrails to form, or reroute planes around regions where they are forming.

                    Right now, the science on this is spotty and the results are fairly tentative, but it's clear they have an effect on planetary temperature.

                    • But is this a negative effect compared to cooling towards an Ice Age?

                      • BTW, if everyone whom believes in ACC and AGW were to stop exhaling carbon dioxide (CO2) this carbon emissions "problem" would be solved.

                          Temperatures reached 40.7C (105F) in central Japan earlier this week, a five-year nationwide peak.

                          In the city of Kyoto temperatures have stood above 38C (100.4F) for seven days in a row for the first time since records began in the 19th Century.

                              Now if these sort of temps were happening in Winter, might be an anomaly.

                              Some people's grasp of basic science is such they would add ammonia to bleach in order to make a super cleaning solution.

                                And, while they are in a heat wave, the usual Goresters are complaining that it is also excessively hot in Death Valley. Well, Guess what you environmental nut jobs. It is always that hot EVERY YEAR AT THIS TIME in Death Valley. That is how it was given its name by the early pioneers that made the fatal mistake of crossing it during the torrid summer months.

                                Meanwhile,

                                The weather forecast here for the next several days is for nice comfortable days with cool to cold nights. There is also complaints that the lake levels are now too high again which results in no beaches and the threat of flooding along the shoreline in Saginaw Bay when we get sustained high Northeast winds.
