    Yea!

The way I see it, the same sort of "scientists" that are telling us we're doomed without ending CO2 production and such are the same "scientists" that told us over 40 years ago that if we didn't stop using CFC's the hole in the ozone layer at the South Pole would grow and we'd all be doomed. They said if we stopped using CFC's the hole would gradually disappear in about 40 or 50 years.

Well, we stopped using CFC's. It's been about 50 years. The hole is still there and the same size.

Today they have all these models of doom that over the last 30+ years have predicted warming and not one of them has come close to modelling what's actually happening with the atmosphere.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

As the Who once said, "Let's hope we don't get fooled again..."

When the "scientists" can accurately model planetary climate and their track record of predictions comes even close to reality and historical data, may I'll believe them. Until then, they can shove off with their idiot predictions.

What end? What does the Paris agreement require them to do? Because so far they've done nothing.

CO2 is a "red-herring" and not the key part of "Climate Change", Natural or human-caused (Anthropogenic = ACC/AGW).

Paris Agreement allows "developing nations" such as "People's Republic and Workers Paradise of China" and India to continue to "pollute" and requires "developed nations" like the USA (and Western Europe, etc.) to subsidize their eventual efforts to reduce emmisions.

Hence the USA is set up to be restrained in our industry and economy while floating the ones whom are allowed to continue to make the "situation" worse per the unproven foundations of the agreement.

Bottomline, we get screwed on both ends and have to like it.

China's going to do something because pollution is bad enough there that it effects even the Rich and powerful. They know it's a problem so they're going to take steps to reduce the worst of it, much like the US or Europe did starting in the 70's. Those emissions reductions will be fairly cheap and easy to do.

The problem for the US is we're at the point of diminishing returns big time. We have to dump in billions or trillions to get small or even miniscule reductions in pollution over what we already have for controls.
Thankfully, the EPA's reduction of ozone pollution from 75 ppb to 70 ppb that would have cost upwards of $100 billion a year to meet wasn't enacted by the Obama administration. I suspect what held it up was even they didn't have the stomach to watch the economy tank if it was.

Surprisingly, this book is pretty accurate for 1974. It argues that the Environmentalist / Climate Change / Gorebal Warming bunch and their pollution reduction at any cost arguments are insane.

Here's a article on the ozone regulation

                    http://dailycaller.com/2014/08/15/ep...mal-pollution/

At the heart of it is this:

There are two reasons for this constant drive to ever-tighter pollution limits. Pressure for more restrictive regulations comes from within the EPA because the agency’s core business is regulation. New and regularly amended regulations are necessary to the maintenance and continued growth of the agency. A world without unacceptable levels of pollution is a world that barely needs the EPA, now the 12th largest federal department.
Emphasis mine. That's really what it comes down to. We don't need masses of new regulation on pollution, except it has produced a massive industry of environmental institutions and government bureaucracies that want to keep themselves in business.
