  • Venezuela, another Socialist Utopia

American progressives, this is what your 'dream' of centralized power by sociopaths results in.

As you can see, it always leads to corruption, gross inefficiency, paranoid fantasies and fabricated accusations.

Anyone attempting to point out the massive corruption is called a 'right-wing extremist', just like in America. Isn't that an amazing coincidence?

I think Maduro may have contradicted his own self. I don't possibly see how there could be a coup in Venezuela, because they have a Ministry of Happiness and everyone is happy in Venezuela because of the Ministry of Happiness.

Archive this one, it won't be long before it becomes very useful.

USA should do an overfly and drop tampons, toilet paper, rice, coffee, soap and other counterrevolutionary ordnance.

Is there any thorough analysis how can a country floating on oil be that destitute and disfunctional, especially having in mind >100$/barrel prices in the past?

But the best part of it is that they sell almost half of their oil exports to "archenemy".

                http://www.pri.org/stories/2014-08-2...r-fingerprints

But President Nicolas Maduro has a plan — grocery stores will begin fingerprinting all customers, to track if customers are buying more than the government thinks they should. The plan is to implement the new fingerprint-tracking system by the end of the year.

                Ah! The joys of Socialism!

No my dream of a Socialist Utopia would be Germany. Care to show any pictures of shortages there?

                    http://wattsupwiththat.com/2012/05/1...energy-crisis/

Last winter, on several occasions, Germany escaped only just large-scale power outages. Next winter the risk of large blackouts is even greater. The culprit for the looming crisis is the single most important instrument of German energy policy: the “Renewable Energy Law.” The economic cost of a wide-scale blackout are measured in billions of Euros per day. The most important test of energy policy is now the stability of power – so far only the cost of the green energy transition has been focused upon. Because the federal government does not have the guts to start an overdue and fundamental debate about the usefulness of a 12-year-old, now totally outdated, “launch aid” called EEG, it now threatens to over-steer, with the green energy transition ending up in a crash. Fasten your seat belts. –Daniel Wetzel, Die Welt, 10 May 2012
                    http://www.businessinsider.com/germa...ackouts-2012-5

With a steep growth of power generation from photovoltaic (PV) and wind power and with 8 GW base load capacity suddenly taken out of service the situation in Germany has developed into a nightmare for system operators.
The Greentard Left strikes again. Electricity is a luxury good in Germany now...

                    http://www.spiegel.de/international/...-a-920288.html

German consumers already pay the highest electricity prices in Europe. But because the government is failing to get the costs of its new energy policy under control, rising prices are already on the horizon. Electricity is becoming a luxury good in Germany, and one of the country's most important future-oriented projects is acutely at risk.

The means of production are communally owned & operated in Germany?

Germany is a market economy, not a particularly free one albeit, but a market economy nonetheless.
A wild liberal appears! Conservative uses logical reasoning and empirical evidence! It's super effective! Wild liberal faints.

And yet it's derided here in the US as being part "European Socialism." Glad to know that some here know the difference.

You stated "...shortages of..." not "...empty store shelves." I documented a clear shortage in Germany that is growing worse not so much because of Socialism as because of Greentardism.

Since we're going to be pedantic, I asked for pictures. You provided links which, last time I checked, are not pictures.
