New Site - PLEASE READ

Hello All,
My name is Ashley and I am the one that moved the forum to its new hosting location. This was done for security reasons and try to keep the forum from going down every other day. I understand that the new forum looks very different from the old one but I promise almost everything you had before you still have it might just be in a different place.

Items that are gone due to a limitation of the new hosting/ forum update:
- Awards
- Flags

As I was going thought your posts I was able to fix a lot fo the issues you were listing. Below is kind of a running list of issues an what is fixed and what I am still working on.

Items that I have fixed from your comments:
- Smilie are now working.
- Color/Theme changes
- Signature are now showing up. (Here is how to edit them https://screencast.com/t/OJHzzhiV1)
- Ranking is now showing up.
- Private messaging is now working.

Some issues I am still working on are:
- Missing items from the Calendar
- Like button the posts is giving an error.

One other note I have seen a lot is theme/color related items. I know this is important to all of you but at the moment the most important thing was getting you back a functioning forum with as many features I can get you back from before.

Theme/color is something we can change but it the moment I do not have the time and resources to fix all of the issue and design the site. I did do some theme updates yesterday but it is very time consuming. Please just be patient with the forum as we get it back to as close as I can to what you had before.

If anyone has any issues that they are running in to please let me know in the post below. Please give me as much detail as possible .

    Its a funny old world.

An elected official defrauds the taxpayer of 20k and he gets 18 months.

An individual defrauds the industry I work in to the tune of "only" 246,000 and the police don't want to know.

      Hi Steve

Though I agree with your specific, I think you have to look beyond the size of the fraud in financial terms, and the broader picture/implications.

Having a similar discussion about how society asigns punishment levels elsewhere and it throws up various illogical events.

yeah I know, I'm just bitter that I'm not going to get the satisfaction of putting a blatant fraudster behind bars where she belongs. Better part of a years work down the swanny because the police have bigger fish to fry with their limited anti-fraud budget.

          Hi Steven

Well in keeping with frying theme, there is more than one way to fry a fish. My first port of call would be a anonymous letter with all the facts to the local media outlets. Not just one but several and mention the police's lack of interest. If this person is part of a professional body, then they have anti-corruption or ethical standards boards that could be interested.
The internet provides a viral network to get a story noticed so chose one wisely and let the dice role in that environment. Or bizzarely you could speak to your local MP, they are duty bound to listen and give advice.

Unfortunately although she has been struck off by the authorising body she's done a runner and no one can trace her. My hunch is she's in Spain or Cyprus. Wouldn't be the first time.

Back to the OP subject though, was Chayter one of the three who was trying to claim immunity from public prosecution?

Just need Jim Devine to fess up and make it a clean sweep.

To be honest the only thing about the whole saga that suprised me was that it suprised anyone at all. Not like there was no precedent.

Tory Lord Taylor is at present standing trial for a similar fraud, his main defense seems to be that everyone was doing it.
