  • The Little Ships

Today is the 70th Anniversary of the evacuation of Dunkirk. To mark the occasion there has been a parade of little Ships from Dover to Dunkirk and back today.

Hurray for the Royal Navy. Hurray for the Little Ships. Hurray for the men who went on to win WWII !

I've never been one for over the top jingoism but that particular episode of my nations history is one I am enormously proud of.Those people were extraordinary.

They were brave people. I've read the Royal Navy ships still salute the surviving Little Ships, but I don't know if that's fact of not. Does anyone out there know?
