  • President Macron's Speech on Armistice Day

He sagely stated that 'nationalism is a betrayal of patriotism' and that 'patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism.' He is exactly right.

We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts
Made weak by time and fate but strong in will
To strive to seek to find and not to yield.

Trump is doing nothing but embarrassing the United States overseas:

Macron is an arrogant arse who wants to celebrate Petain and promote French submission to Germany.

I'm still wondering what this is doing in "North America." Massena must get us confused.

It's here because of the president being in France for the memorial.

Ahh, let me guess, Trump is doing something wrong?

A week after Macron said the US could be among his future enemies.

Yes-and it is outlined in Macron's speech regarding nationalism and he also failed to visit American military cemeteries because it was raining. I guess he didn't want to get his sore foot wet.

Macron's speech was superb. I don't think it will have much impact on Trump, even after someone from Fox News explains it to him.

Tell us were Macron is wrong. With Trump t's very possible. What would happen if France denies the purchase of a new gold
f course? As far as kissing arse, we'll let that up to him with Putin and the Saudi's. We don't need to worry about the UK, it's suck his___________________

Exactly, and the Left just laps it up.
They are trying to trick people into hating their own nation (and themselves) and to transfer their loyalty to the EU super-bureaucracy in Brussels, only then can they be absolved of their many sins....

Who buys into that crap? Who since Napoleon has had the chutzpah to even TRY?

The Russians are right to be nervous, the Micron has also been touting the creation of a Pan-Europa (EU) Army.
                          Speaking of Napoleonic grandeur....

GEE, now the Europeans want to create their own Army and contribute more for their own defense, as our Trump wanted and now you against that? Does seem very stable to me.
