  • Hats off to one brave woman!

    Way to go
Tess Asplund, an anti-racism activist from Stockholm, was in Borlänge to protest against a march by hundreds of neo-Nazis through the centre of the town on May 1st.

Traditionally a left-wing stronghold, where big Labour Day rallies are the norm, Borlänge has recently seen many voters lurch to the far-right.

The uniformed neo-Nazis were however far outnumbered by counter demonstrators like Asplund, who described the moment captured on camera to local radio station P4 Dalarna.

“I don’t think I even thought about it really, I just jumped out,” she said.

“I just thought: you shouldn’t be here. Then one of them stared at me and I stared back. He didn’t say anything and neither did I. Then the police came fairly quickly and took me away.”

Well well, let's see if this woman still smilling in her righteousness, when diversity from Mälmö comes to town.

No joke. Shaira law won't be a fun thing...
Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.

In reality it was a normal provocation tactic. Right wing demos usually have a very strict discipline rule. Last time i marched the demo makers forced us to abandon all glass bottles etc. and said that violence is really not welcome. The attempt is to make someone of the march snap and attack. It was the same like in a march last summer me and another guy sneaked into the railway shop to buy beer and then went to the counter demonstrants, jsut to pull a crowd of 20 people behind us and police having to move in to keep it from escalating. So what this woman did was no bravery or anything, it was just organised provocation as you have it during such rallies.

I wonder how she'd have faired if the protesters were Muslim or if they were on the far Left...

            'Right-wing' demo - these were Neo-Nazis.

In the mid-1990s, former members of White Aryan Resistance (VAM) were released from prison and formed the core of the Swedish Resistance Movement.[5] The organisation was founded in December 1997 by individuals working with Folktribunen, the neo-National Socialist magazine, and members of National Youth and VAM, the now discontinued far-right organisation
Love how the comments on even a bunch of Neo-Nazi scumbags marching is about 'leftists' or Muslims. At least most of you are predictable in your bigotry.

I'm simply questioning what response she would get from various other groups. Neo-Nazis are no more or less scum than Leftist Anarchists, a whole host of Leftist minority groups, or radical Muslims. They all preach hatred of one sort or another, but it seems only the groups on the Right are universally reviled while those on the Left find plenty that excuse their behavior.

Middle of the day, police and press all around, blocking the path of unarmed peaceful men. Wow, such bravery. Give her a medal of anarcho-marxist valour.

So every veteran of WWII who fought against Nazis and Facist were merely "anarchy-Marxist"

She didn't fight at all. She just engaged in a bit of street theater in front of media and with police protection close to hand.

In the end, she is a supporter of the flood of unscreened muslims into Europe.

Comparing this to WWII and veterans is quite the stretch.

Is that what made Anders Behring Breivik murder 77 unarmed people most of them children?
Every Nazi should be hunted down and greased.
