    As usual, D.Day is Omaha Beach. Same old....
    ‘Tis said his form is tiny, yet
    All human ills he can subdue,
    Or with a bauble or medal
    Can win mans heart for you;
    And many a blessing know to stew
    To make a megloamaniac bright;
    Give honour to the dainty Corse,
    The Pixie is a little shite.

        Omaha is the only one that makes for an interesting wargame. All the other beaches were largely on-sided walkovers.

        "Let's model Utah beach! The US lands and moves inland. There's sporadic enemy fire. The Allied player's objective is to take fewer than 100 casualties, sprained ankles included..."

          It's a computer game, not reality. Scenarios could be made for all the beaches. It's just that no matter what the media in the US, It's only Omaha that matters.

            I know it is only a game but to dismiss all the other beaches as walkovers is complete thoughtless garbage with no respect to the hundreds of young men across those other beaches that died that morning. Uttered of course by a person that never stood ( or laid ) on those sands that Tuesday morning early in June 1944. lcm1

                In terms of a computer wargame, that's the situation. The other beaches were quite one-sided outcomes.
