  • 5,000 condoms to rain down on North Korea

    From: http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/asia...s-into-n-korea

Several dozen South Korean activists launched balloons carrying anti-Pyongyang leaflets, condoms and sanitary pads across the border with North Korea on Thursday.

The launch went ahead despite a recent threat from Pyongyang of military strikes against similar propaganda exercises by North Korean defectors. Activists used 20 gas-filled balloons to float packages containing 150,000 leaflets and 5,000 condoms across the western part of the border in Yeoncheon County.

"We've heard condoms are particularly difficult to secure in the North," said Bong Tae-Hong, who heads the right-wing activist group Right Korea. "North Koreans also need them as contraceptives and for protection against sexually transferred diseases," Bong told AFP.

Also included in the packages were sanitary pads, electric torches, sweets, underwear, socks and toothpaste.

South Korean police blocked a similar leafleting exercise last month by a group of North Korean defectors, after Pyongyang said it would respond with a "merciless" military attack.

Southern riff-raffs may have sent condoms, but dear respected Kim Jong Un sent giant chestnuts whose amount was enough.

        From: http://www.kcna.co.jp/index-e.htm

        7 November, 2012. Juch 101.

The dear respected Kim Jong Un sent giant chestnuts to children of Changgwang Kindergarten and Kyongsang Kindergarten here. Putting forward children as king of the country, President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il made sure that children's cradles were built throughout the country and lavished them with things best in the world. Their great benevolence has been carried forward by Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Large chestnuts whose amount was enough for even distribution among children of the kindergartens reflected deep loving care that can be shown only by parents who take care of the future of the country.

Children, beside themselves with joy, broke into cheers and kindergarten teachers and parents extended thanks to the Marshal in excitement.

I suspect they may also be handy to collect large amounts of chestnuts

Man, I love those official releases. When I get to thinking that Fox News or MSBNC are just propaganda outlets for the various parties, I come here and see the latest release from NK. A bracing shot of cold water to the face. True propaganda at it's finest.

In that case, you may appreciate their latest offering:

Pyongyang, November 8 (KCNA) -- Kim Kwang Hyok and his wife were interviewed by local and foreign reporters at the People's Palace of Culture here Thursday. They had defected to south Korea being taken in by the south Korean puppet forces' smear campaign and appeasement. But they came back to the DPRK after feeling disillusion with South Korea.

His wife Ko Jong Nam also explained that she was taken to south Korea in September 2008 after being tempted by broker called An Ho Gun who, bearing a grudge against the social system in the DPRK, lured northerners to illegally cross the border.

Kim talked about what he experienced to prove that "defectors from the north" can not find foothold in south Korea and they are snubbed and disdained everywhere they went. Kind human feelings could not be found in anywhere in unjust and unequal south Korean society, he added. He said he cursed him and regretted again and again for coming to the south being obsessed by illusion.

Children of the "defectors from the north" are being left out in the cold in the south, so, they are reluctant even to go outside, it being a common occurrence that they are beaten at schools. Some hopeless children burn coal and wait for their deaths, finding it too painful to live, exposed to contempt.

One day they saw a video showing the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un providing field guidance to Kyongsang Kindergarten. The Marshal with a bright smile on his face had a photo taken with children at just their son's age. Ko said she and her husband cried looking up to the Marshal who was so affectionate to children. Her husband said the Marshal reminded him of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who loved children so much in their lifetime, Ko added. They repeatedly watched the video and renewed their determination to come to the care of the Marshal.

So they finally left south Korea with an excuse of visiting China and could come to the homeland. They met with their parents and brothers and sisters whom they wanted to see even in dreams and received flats big enough to live with their parents. Everything seems like a dream. Kim said they had done nothing good for the country but committed only wrongdoings. But the homeland was so generous as to accept them who committed so many crimes, Kim added.

It is a motherland that takes care of the destiny and future of his families and a benevolent embrace of Kim Jong Un, Kim said, extending the greatest thanks to Kim Jong Un, incarnation of benevolence. He evinced his pledge to remain loyal to Kim Jong Un, benefactor of his family and kind-hearted father of big socialist family, and to contribute to building a thriving nation.

Over 30,000 Workers Launch Anti-Regime Struggle in S. Korea

                      From: http://www.kcna.co.jp/index-e.htm

                      November 14 2012, Juch 101

Over 30,000 workers under the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions launched actions in Seoul on Sunday on the lapse of 42 years since worker Jon Thae Il committed suicide in protest against the unpopular policy of the Park Chung Hee military fascist dictatorship.
Attending the actions were personages from different social standings including civic, public, religious circles and lawmakers from opposition parties.

They waged a demo from the Chonggye River where Jon Thae Il burnt himself to death crying "We are not machines!" to Seoul Railway Station.

They held up placards reading "Remove lay-off, stop breaking down trade unions, ensure workers' suffrage" and expressed their will to struggle against the unpopular policy, chanting slogans "Here is living Jon Thae Il!" and "Abolish part-time job!"

Speakers at the meeting said that nothing has changed though many years have passed since Jon burnt himself to death in protest against the unpopular labor policy.

They referred to the fact that workers in different parts of south Korea wage unflinching actions for right to existence calling for reinstatement of the discharged workers and abolishment of part-time jobs. All the actions cannot achieve successes unless Lee Myung Bak and the "Saenuri Party" are ousted, they said, adding:

It is the time for all the people to pool their strength to drastically reform society. A resolution was read out at the meeting.

It said that workers will build a world in which basic rights of labor are ensured and workers have become masters.
