New Site - PLEASE READ

Hello All,
My name is Ashley and I am the one that moved the forum to its new hosting location. This was done for security reasons and try to keep the forum from going down every other day. I understand that the new forum looks very different from the old one but I promise almost everything you had before you still have it might just be in a different place.

Items that are gone due to a limitation of the new hosting/ forum update:
- Awards
- Flags

As I was going thought your posts I was able to fix a lot fo the issues you were listing. Below is kind of a running list of issues an what is fixed and what I am still working on.

Items that I have fixed from your comments:
- Smilie are now working.
- Color/Theme changes
- Signature are now showing up. (Here is how to edit them https://screencast.com/t/OJHzzhiV1)
- Ranking is now showing up.
- Private messaging is now working.

Some issues I am still working on are:
- Missing items from the Calendar
- Like button the posts is giving an error.

One other note I have seen a lot is theme/color related items. I know this is important to all of you but at the moment the most important thing was getting you back a functioning forum with as many features I can get you back from before.

Theme/color is something we can change but it the moment I do not have the time and resources to fix all of the issue and design the site. I did do some theme updates yesterday but it is very time consuming. Please just be patient with the forum as we get it back to as close as I can to what you had before.

If anyone has any issues that they are running in to please let me know in the post below. Please give me as much detail as possible .

Yes. China was not originally the size it currently is, and most of East Asia was at one time or another Chinese suzereigns.

To simply be ruled by an emperor is not usually considered "imperialism", I think there are other candidates for that, perhaps not ruled by an emperor.

Also the first "Chinese" emperor, apparently, comes to the scene rather late, after the first "Persian" one for instance.
The short answer is yes; China, as we understand it today, was originally made up of seven "Warring States." I will also point that the language most people think of as "Chinese" is properly called Mandarin and it is the most commonly spoken language but hardly the only one. And, yes you could argue that China practically invented imperialism.

Do you really think that China would be impressed with a division of US troops?

Have you ever compared that to a US map from the 13 colonies to Alaska and Hawaii? Is there a difference? What is it? Don't forget Guam, Samoa and PR.

China wouldn't be impressed with one division. 2,3,or 4 maybe.

Um no. That is what English-speaking people not from China call it. The Chinese call it "Standard Language"(Pǔtōnghu) or "National Language" (Guyǔ), Chinese (Hanyu). Middle Language (Jongmin). They just accept the fact that everyone else wants to call it "Mandarin", just like they call China "China". The national tongue is a "form" of Mandarin, the Beijing dialect to be exact. There are at least 6 major Mandarin dialect groups among the 297 living languages of China. While Standard Chinese is spoken by about around two-thirds of the country's people, for many Chinese, their traditional language is still what is spoken at home and among friends and relatives.

What is China called in China?

I was just trying to figure out yesterday if any other country than Finland has this problem. In Finnish we call our country Suomi, but since we were under Swedish rule for so long the name Finland is in use in all other languages.

                                Well the Dutch obviously,

they call their country Nederland (singular), while they translate it as The Netherlands, Or Les Pays Bas in French (also plural)

They call themselves Nederlanders, everybody in English calls them Dutch,

We in Belgium call them Holland and Hollanders and their sauce Hollandaise.
