  • Best High School Movie

    We have had polls about a variety of movie genres. This is one I don't think we've covered, the high school, coming of age movie. Here are my favorites.

    1) Dazed and Confused
    2) Fast Times at Ridgemont High
    3) Risky Business
    4) Almost Famous
    5) American Graffitti
    6) Porky's
    7) American Pie
    8) Empire Records
    9) Clueless
    10) Rock and Roll High School

    A "real" highschool movie was Highway of Death. They showed it your first day of drivers ed. Started with a camera moving down a deserted highway crossing over shoes and other wreckage. A real piece of Government propoganda.
    If you can't set a good example, be a glaring warning.

                        Wow! forgot about those educational films in drivers ed. The two I recall seeing were called(?) "Wheels of Terror" and "Red Asphalt." I think they were going for the 'scared straight' affect! ha ha

                            I gotta go with American Graffiti. It was from my generation. The movie was filmed in Modesto, CA which is about 40 miles south of me.
