If you like David Suchet in Poirot or Jeremy Brett in Sherlock Holmes may I strongly recomend this short 5 episode series. More fiction than fact, but utterly absorbing imo. A great buy, but shop around as a couple of months ago I picked this up for 5.99 not 29.50.

Joint star, Ian McDiarmid, is more obviously better known as this bloke, but this series proves he can act .

Cool, fighting crime 18th century British style! And McDiarmid plays the guy who wrote Tom Jones (I never thought I'd want to read a book used in the SATs, but the segment from Tom Jones was priceless!)?!

This series can't be as cool as I think it could be...could it?
How many Allied tanks it would take to destroy a Maus?
    275. Because that's how many shells there are in the Maus. Then it could probably crush some more until it ran out of gas. - Surfinbird

Never seen them, although there were Holmes mysteries on A&E, but I never watched them. My mom did though. Liked Sherlock Holmes (with Robert Downey Jr.) a HELL of a lot more. Holmes laith down the LAW!
