  • VIFF09 is here!

The Vancouver International Film Festival is here. I caught about ten movies last year because I won some tickets. Money is a little tight this year but I've picked up tickets for these two shows.

Ok, but if you're taking my wife's place at the shows you have to hold my hand.

We may catch this show too, in order to avoid driving home during rush hour.

              So far,

              Interesting but meh... so-so entertaining.

Very dull. A really interesting premise but executed poorly. Diologue was bad. This may have been an attempt at "iceburg writing" ie: "what isn't written is more important than what is" but it failed. The acting is one dimensional. There is no attempt to build tension.

Really good. We'll go see this again if it makes it to general release in Canada. Take our wife/girlfriend. It's a good date movie.

Picked up tickets for one more show at the "repeats." I'm glad to get to see this. It had two showings. One was at an inconvenient time and the other was $175 a ticket for the closing gala.
