I'm with 'Gran Torino' also, however 'Pale Rider' comes in a very close second.

The oldest movie I've seen of his is dirty Harry.

            1. Unforgiven- a masterpiece
            2. Dirty Harry- one of the best cop movies of all-time
            3. High Plains Drifter- just a fun movie
            4. Gran Torino- definitely a great movie
            5. Kelly's Heroes- not historical in any way but a hoot to watch
            6. Magnum Force- a good follow-up to Dirty Harry
            7. Every Which Way But Loose- sorry but I find this hilarious
            8. Any Which Way You Can- see above
            9. The Good, The Bad & The Ugly- spaghetti never tasted better
            10. Play Misty For Me- chilling
Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

I've never seen Play Misty For Me or The Gauntlet, the latter mostly because it has Sondra Locke in it. I know what you are probably thinking, 'she was in a lot of his films, including The Outlaw Josey Wales.' Well, yes - but I think that only shows how great an actor/director he is to assemble a sucession of stellar casts to offset Ms Locke's abysmal (non) acting ablilities. God alone knows what Eastwood saw in the woman, she must have had something to include her in so many of his films.

The Gauntlet was a really good film. If you really like action, you should check it out. Play Misty For Me was an above average thriller. The kind you don't see much nowadays.

Well...Clint was "doing" her for awhile there, if I may be so crude. And the only thing worse than her acting was her singing.

                  Listen at your own risk.

Crude? No, for 'twas the truth and in a way that makes it all the more confusing - did Clint have some sort of eyesight trouble with regard to Ms Locke? I know love is blind but crickey, guide dogs are available to the most seriously afflicted.
