I bekieve this Forum should be reseved to Movies that deal with historical battles. We are all Armchair-Generals, not Road Rage jockey's.

          I disagree.

While not a fan of Fast and Furious, there's nothing in the forum description that says only historical movies are to be discussed.

There are forums where his Love for fast cars are welcome:

Nelvana, Just For Kids, Pixar, Walt Disney and perhaps the Dreamworks network. I'm sure he would be welcome with his topics there.
Perhaps it's not stated that we do have to just talk about historical movies,
but there are statues like unwritten conducts.
Or do you want to open the floodgates to Elmar Fudd and Bugs Bunny.

sigh Are we bickering, again? Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Are you talking about the 1st F&F?
I thought it was...ok. Not my favorite "car flick", though. That would be something like...'Mad Max', 'The Driver', 'Ronin', uuhhh, hmmm, let's see...oh, I don't know...uhhhh...did I say, 'Mad Max'?

                  No bickering.

                  Just stating my opinion.

Plus I wouldn't call a guy with almost 2000 posts on ACG a "spammer".

I went back and checked threads posted here during the past few weeks that weren't about "historical" or "war" movies.

                    These include:

                    Tony Takitani
                    Gran Torino
                    Watchmen
                    The Thing
                    Battlestar Galactica
                    True Grit
                    Knowing
                    Duel
                    Animal Farm
                    Meteor

Apparently, a lot of other people on ACG agree with me.

I don't like to antagonize this Forum, because I love to have the international exchange. I find it absolutely fantastic, that we all can learn about each others culture and opinion. I would appreciate, if we could keep the bar up were it is, not lower it down.
Armchair General's "Movie & TV" translates to me:
"To discuss movies about HistoricaL Battles Just like the Publisher intendet it to do, like he did in his fantastic Magazine.
Mainstream Forums have so much space for the other topics, why do it here ? Why should I go and search trough a multitude of "OFF TOPIC" issues,
when we could keep it up to standarts.
Doesn't make it that easier for all of us ?
So far, most posts are very good, why water them down ?

Yes, I do have an issue with those, because they belong into a Sci-Fi Forum, and I believe we have plenty of those

Not neccessarily Off Topic, because it deals with a real danger, and therefore merits relevance

This Forum would be a boring place, if everyone agrees. Welcome to the Debate !

I'm more of a "chairborne commando" myself. The only thing I really like to do from an armchair is "quarterback". Occassionally, I like to do a little, "back-seat driving", but usually only on Sundays.
