  • I got bored and switched off the 'Alien Hunter' (2003) film when it was first shown on TV some years ago because the "alien in block of ice" thing had been done before (yawn), but it was recently on TV again and I watched it right the way through and was pleasantly surprised to find it's not as bad as I first thought..
SPOILER ALERT- unlike Alien and The Thing, the aliens in AH are quite decent intelligent chaps which makes a refreshing change from the usual silly crop of childish monsters/zombies/werewolves etc that the kiddies love..

    • I watched Zero Dark Thirty last night. I was surprised to learn that metacritic considered Zero Dark Thirty the "#1 Best Movie of 2012".

        • I just finished watching King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. Perhaps I'm too old-fashioned, but I prefer the original story about King Arthur to this new "reinterpretation." Perhaps the movie should have been entitled The Fantastic Killing Sword.

          • Finally got a chance to see SW: The Last Jedi. Better than I expected - 2 1/2 hours went by pretty quick.

Not bad overall. The main characters sounded a little stiff and unnatural in some of the scenes but that is to be expected since they are not actors but the real people playing to a script.

On a big screen movie, it's been many a year and don't rightly remember what it was
