Great B/W WW2 movie about leadership. Tough group commander Gregory Peck restores the broken morale of a hard-luck bomber squadron.
Air battle scenes at the end are authentic and great!
Yeah Peck was a great example of the old military doctrine- "When you're in command, COMMAND!"
PS- but i have to say i don't like the ending of the film at all when Peck goes into some kind of silly catatonic trance.

              • I saw the movie The Generals Daughter Epix a couple of days ago. I wonder what punishment was handed down to General Campell after he was court martialed for covering up the rape of his daughter?

Don't bother it isn't really that good. Some memorable scenes (e.g. the taking off of the bombers in the beginning of the movie) but their connection into a coherent story that appeared so flawlessly and effortless in the book isn't duplicated in the movie.

Probably the most perfect example of the book being 100times better than the movie...............I laughed out loud reading that book probably more than any other............
