I just saw this flick last night, and its excellent, i recomend this as a must see. I read that it says this is the first of three movies?, and this one
came out in 2007. So i'm wondering if they really are going to make 2 more?
I hope so, cuz the first one was great.

I've had the DVD in my hands twice now and put it back. Next time I'll get it.
    Thanks for the recommendation.

Yes, very good film. In many ways...
Don’t forget 1389 Battle for Kosovo.
Don’t forget 1912 Kumanovo battle, revenge for Kosovo.
Don’t forget 1999 Battle for Kosovo II
Don’t forget we’ll revenge it again.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I was a little hesitant at first - Japanese lead, Chinese supporting actor, Mongolian actress - a little too multiracial for my taste. Still, it worked. It'd be interesting to see how Asians reacted to it.

Good scenery, very well filmed, though I wonder about the historical accuracy of some of the battle scenes (did Mongols ever deliberately field infantry?).

It is definitely worthy of sequels, though.

Of course, and they had siege weapons, and all sorts of arms and armor, it wasn't just horse-archers!

Yep, it's an excellent movie. Interestingly, nearly all of the Mongols are played by Mongols, except the Great Khan himself and his blood-brother, played (controversially) by a Japanese and a Chinese actor, respectively.

It's worth seeing just for the armor and weapons.

Definitely, it's an excellent period piece.

Slug and I just watched this. It was an entertaining movie, but I had a hard time with them making it a love story.

                              I didn't like it.

It was sort of like a flat soda.
I was expecting big war scenes, and it went pfft.
                              It felt historically accurate though.
I also got the feeling that that area hasn't change much over the centuries.
