  • Air Strike

Probably the worst war movie I've have ever seen. Top billing was Bruce Willis, Adrien Brody, and Ye Liu. Turns out to be a cheesy Chinese movie reminiscent of old style Kung Fu flicks with over dramatics and over acting, while Willis and Brody was paid to have what basically amounted to cameo appearances.

Pearl Harbor was a bad movie, but if you put aside the historical inaccuracies and sheer nonsense such as flying for the RAF in a Spitfire and then being on Dolittle's Raid, it was at least entertaining.

Pearl Harbor was a Romance story loosely based on certain WWII events. Air Strike is just a stupid movie.

Haven’t seen Bruce Willis in a good movie in years. Same with Brody. And these are guys that brought us amazing films such as diehard and the pianist

Maybe I’ll check out airstrike if I get a chance in the future. The one thing that really interests me is the fact that this was a Chinese produced film about World War II. So it’s a beautiful thing that at least China is producing pro allied films in the modern times.

I wonder if in the film airstrike there are any scenes showing the big three sitting together

I always thought Pearl Harbour was a comedy. Maybe this is meant to be the same. Cant say that I want to waste 2 hours finding out based on this, and other, reviews.

I agree - Willis has really slipped in recent years. He's now a guarantee that I won't watch a film he's in. Sad.

China may be trying to break into the lucrative international film market. They do have some great scenery to offer. Anyway, appreciate the warning, Sal.

It gets worse. I get ready to return the DVD and thought I would read the descriptive on the back of the case. It is in CHINGLISH! And the P-40 is described as ".........a most powerful bomber than can stop the Yapenese attacks. And meanwhile a team of spys and refuges must carry a game-charging decorder across the war thorn countryside."

I googled and discovered there are many version of this case cover sleeve. Must have been desperately trying to correct misspellings, typos, etc. My copy says "Based On True Events" on the front, which changed in other versions. What a sloppy production!

Speaking of "Air -Strikes" the lopsided struggle of Kate Middleton and her light summer frock against a sudden burst
of chinook winds at calgary International airport rates a mention:
