    Best Years of Our Lives

The movie "Best Years of Our Lives" gets my pick.

The fellow who lost his hands in WW II actually won two Oscar's for the same roll. A first that has yet to be out done.

IM GOING WITH THE LONGEST DAY-THIS MOVIE GOT IT ALL,CAPTURES ALL ANGLES OF D-DAY.I LIKE PATTON BUT I THINK IT REFLECTS TO MUCH OF GENERAL BRADLEY'S ANTI-PATTON BIAS,SO A REMAKE WOULD BE JUSTIFIED. FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS/LETTER FROM IWO ARE TOS FROM THE PACIFIC THEATRE. MIDWAY AND DAS BOOT ARE THE BEST NAUTICAL FIMS.
If the art of war were nothing but the art of avoiding risks, glory would become the prey of mediocre minds. Napoleon

My vote goes to Das Boot, one of the best war films ever. No other film comes as close to making you understand what it is like to be in a submarine while being depth charged.
