  • Movies, Action Figures & Toys.

I am in sheer awe of the variety and ammount of action figures available today.
(I only had G.I. Joe as a small kid.)

Now it seems if its if it on TV or at the Movies an action figure set will proverbly be made of it.

But are many of them really suitalbe for children?
(Nah...We all know some are really for mature aged buyer. $$$$$$...)

Some of the stuff is pretty cool, but other stuff....
I thought this stuff is pretty collectable.

Not forgetting the SG1 fans either.

    Asstd. others.

These ones I thought were worth a laugh.

(Monty Python fans will recognise this one.)

And these are only a few examples.

    Cheers,
    Dave

There was once a series of Reservoir Dogs figures which I had my eye on...

I remember that. There was even one of the cop with an ear that came off.

I've noticed that reproductions of 1960's Gi.I. figures were being made a couple years back, I'd like to see (affordable) repos of the Action Man figures of my childhood.

You think thats something? Go check out the toy soldier industry, its gone from being mainly WW2 US vs Germans in the 1950s to almost every conflict in human history today.

Did you notice that the female figures of SG1 are wearing a lot less clothing than the guys?

I can remember seeing the Tomb Raider movie 12" Lara Croft in the stores and my goodness Lara looked like a brunette Barbie doll with massive silicone implants.

Here is one I missed posting earlier that is not a kids toy.
(Your kids would end up either scared or scary if given this toy)

18inch Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lecter Talking Action Figure

Another one I left out was Kaneda's Bike from the cult-classic anime film "Akira"
Its diecast & plastic and has removable plastic guards.
(It would be hard to leave this one in its packaging to keep it mint.)

I've got seasons 3 and 8 of SG-1. Cant recall any episodes where CPT Carter ran around showing so much skin. (I would recall, I assure you.)
