I believe the series will end with Jon Snow aka Jaehaerys Targaryan III son of Rhaegar Targaryan and Lyanna Stark and thus true heir to the Iron Throne, marrying his aunt Danyris in some sort of political marriage alliance thus uniting their forces and reestablishing the Targaryan Dynasty in joint rule.

The story will come full circle with Jon Snow entering King's Landing and finding Jaime sitting on the Iron Throne after he has killed the mad tyrant Cersei saving the city from her tyrannical rule. This will also fulfill the propecy that Cersei will be murdered by her "little brother" (which she assumed was Tyrion but she is indeed older than Jaime by a few minutes thus making HIM her "little brother").

Jaime will finish his redemption arc and will be installed as Commander of Jon's Kings Guard and will be reunited with his brother Tyrion who will remain as Hand of the King.

The White Walkers will be destroyed in an epic battle with Dragons, heroes and Lords using their family heirlooms made of Valryian Steel and armies wielding weapons mined from Dragonstone.

And they all live happily ever after lol

Good ending...it would work for me. Of course, there is still the issue of establishing Jon's bloodline, which doesn't seem to appear anywhere in Martin's books, and, of course, Jon's utter lack of Targaeryion features.

Also Jon's tactical ineptitude as demonstrated at the Battle of the Bastards.

          Nice episode.
However, one thing that I noticed was the use of the word "country" (Daenerys did it when she met Jon / Cersei did it when Euron brought her the captives). I find that odd. Shouldn't they use something more archaic? Like "realm"? Country? That doesn't sound right...

They should indeed! Kingdom, realm, something like that would be appropriate except for those that are across a body of water - but even those are actually Kingdoms, such as Dorn.

What a cliffhanger at the end of 4th episode! Man, the battle was well done, apparently the Mother of Dragons wised up and got good advice in the end.

Yup a great battle scene, best of the whole series.

Also it really captures Jaime Lannister's swift change from being high on confidence to hopelessness and confusion on what to do next. But a good soldier doesn't let the battle's ebb and flow distract his focus on surviving the fight and taking it to the enemy or flee to live for another day.

One can almost feel sorry for Jaime, in some ways, I kind of hoped he could take the Iron Throne, he's a sight better than his sister.

It was a good twist, Jaime had thoroughly out-foxed the Daenerys' camp, but then reaped the whirlwind.

It also captured something changing inside Tyrion, watching his people getting wrecked.

Also, what are the losses here? Was that Jaime's and his ally's main army?

All the gold got safely to King's Landing though.

Got a kitten the other day. He is furry and has a grey and (mostly) black coat. I've decided to name him Jon Snow of House Stark, first of his name, King in the North, King Beyond the Wall, Lord of Winterfell, the White Wolf, the Undead.

A mouthful, sure, but I haven't been bothered by whitewalkers since he has been here.

I would guess a large part of the Lannister army wasn't there and had already reached King's Landing. Think all of the Tarly's were there though. As Cersi has the gold she can always recruit replacements. The issue for the Lannister's is the dragons. Doesn't matter how many men they have if they can't neutralise the dragons.

A girl at work from Zim told me that ordinary house cats kill snakes, including cobras. At least you should be snake free.

How are you going to handle it with your cat when it is found out that Jon Snow is a Targaryen? Are you going to change its' name?

Nah, I'll just add a few more titles, and mate him with his sister.
