  • Powers Boothe has passed away...

... May 14, 2017. Credits include Tombstone (one of my favorites), Sin City, Deadwood, Agents of SHIELD...and others.

I always wanted to meet him and get an autograph. I hope his family is doing well. RIP Curly Bill.

He was a stone crazy in "Tombstone". One hell of a cast in that one. One of the few "shoot-em-ups" I like.

Some of you may remember Michael Rooker in that movie, as "Merle Dixon".

And he was "Yondu Udonta" in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

      I liked him in Deadwood.
Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.

Now both him and Patrick Swayze (both in Red Dawn) are gone. I liked his work.

The only thing I have seen is "natural causes". He did not wake up 5-14-17. Still 68 is not that old. He could have had a medical condition or two.

He was also in Marvel's the Avengers film. He's also well known Colonel Tannery from the original Red Dawn movie. He was also played the infamous John Walker in the tv movie "A Family Of Spies".
