      Looks like a straight steel form Star Wars, but with lousy actors.

        More like the other way around since Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets was published in 1967 and Star Wars came out 10 years later.

            That is true. It has been established Lucas drew inspiration for his series from Valerian. And he even admitted after Star Wars became a hit he basically constructed the plot by stealing from a host of different sources.
