    Yep, I made a mistake.

      Don't get me wrong, Ben-Hur is a great movie. I just don't think it's a war movie.

I greatly enjoyed the movie, and as I noted I never considered it historically correct. And you're not telling us anything new here.

And no, I'm not going to lend you any money.... (sorry, had to throw a bit of Python in there)
Anyone who pronounces, "Scottish," as, "Skarrish," (or, "Scotland," as, "Skatlund.") isn't Scottish - no matter how much tartan they drape themselves in.
        Indyref2 - still, "Yes."

That's fine. Who pronounces it like that?

Or call Scots or Scottish: "Scotch" ?

A lot of Southern Scots-Irish pronounce "Scots" like "Scotch". You could include my Mother's family.

Either you need to get your hearing checked, or you haven't met too many Americans.

It's not confined to the USA, though.

                        Cross of Iron.

Absolutely a great war movie. However, it almost sanitizes the Heer on the Eastern Front, so not a historical film.

Never ever watch the second CoI film called Breakthrough, with Richard Burton. Worse than terrible.

This I've heard many times, but never Skarrish.

They wouldn't admit it, but I certainly thought that "Scotch" only referred to the Whisky.

Agreed. This one and Das Boot are the best German films about WWII (IMHO).
