    Secret Netflix Codes

    Source: http://www.glennbeck.com/2016/08/20/...ntentcopy_link

Turns out Netflix is a little like Big Brother. They’re watching, all the time, with an algorithm to learn your preferences. Based on your viewing history, they display shows that might be of interest to you. Which is great, really, unless you want to watch something outside of your normal fare.

Let’s say you’ve been watching When Harry Met Sally non-stop for weeks (because who doesn’t love a good Rom Com, right?). Well, if you want to switch it up and watch a military action movie, your choices may be limited. UNLESS, you know that Military Action & Adventure movies are coded as 2125. Search with that code and your options explode.

    Here’s how it works:
    • You have to have a Netflix account.
    • Log into your Netflix account on a desktop computer (it might work on other devices…try it out).
    • Search with this URL and the genre code at the end: http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/2125.
Here are a few more examples:
    • Biographical Dramas: http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/3179
    • Classic War Movies: http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/48744
    • Classic Westerns: http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/47465
    • Vampire Horror Movies: http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/75804

This opens up a whole new world of entertainment possibilities.

They remember your browsing history and target programs based on that. Glen Beck needs to put on another layer of tin foil.

A bit ot but I find the load time and the lag to be unacceptable.
Is it just my old bot? I've got a trash bot that I use for videos. But it does run the Yar sites just fine. Youtube as well...

Netflix just seems to swallow as well as suck... I've given up on them...

Yeah. I get annoyed with streaming service. Just give me a digital download or a dvd.

My netflix dependent friends also tend to be behind on certain tv shows and I have to be careful with spoilers while they play catch up. I liked Netflix when they were a competent and efficient rental industry but they lack selection and accessibility these days. Easier for me to go elsewhere. With tv I dvr my shows and save my favorites to dvd. Beats waiting for netflix and title release dates.

                I just cancelled Netflix. There's 2 reasons for this;

                1. I've wrote them twice about offering the new VN War movie "Ride the Thunder" and they've never gotten back to me with any sort of answer nor have they offered the movie.

                2. Their CEO supports the Wicked Witch of Benghazi. Although my monthly fees are chump-change to what they make on a daily basis, I will not support any organization with that putrid mindset.

I can easily do without them.

Good post though on the codes. Too bad I didn't know that back when I had them.

Don't get Netflix where I live anymore. They ceased covering my area about a year ago.

Really? I thought streaming works anywhere in the world so long as you have a computer and internet.
