  • Star Trek TV Pilot

A new Star Trek TV pilot movie is under development now, read more at http://startrekrenegades.com/home/

Directed by Tim Russ so this may be a bit better than the JJ Abrams spew.

At least Tim Russ knows what Star Trek is. Hopefully they can do something with this, other than make an internet film.

Chekov is looking a bit Picardish...

Looks cool. So nice to see a proper LCARS layout. But...how in God's name is Chekov still alive?!

Given how old the old admiral Chekov is, I wonder if this will be 23rd or 24th century and whether the technology will be closer to the original trek/movies time period or the TNG/DS9/Voyager period.

And be one traveler, long I stood

I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

The only question of real value is whether the female uniform will revert to the miniskirt and go-go boots of the original.
Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.

So so so glad to hear of Star Trek coming back to the
small screen. I am a huge ST fan and miss having new
episodes of the show to watch. I am looking forward to this.

^I agree with TJ, though I second the bewilderment as to how the heck Chekov is still alive.

                        Judging from Chekov's uniform, it's 24th century. He's wearing the grey-topped, post-First Contact uniform.

And no...I don't feel embarrassed for knowing this.

I think so too. The series will obviously want to attract fans and
there are many starving fans like me, who will tune in, but dang, they
cannot go too far backwards, I like to see action, Klingons, Romulans,
                          more,etc. Sounds exciting.

Just read the website- this is set AFTER Voyager! How are they keeping Admiral Professor Farnsworth around?

On a side note, is this actually an official project? Their website confused me.

It isn't official, it appears to be a fan-work as done by professionals. I don't guess it'd be considered "canon" by Paramount, or shown by a network or anything.
