  • Clive Dunn (Best known as Corporal Jones) dies

    Clive Dunn, best known as Corporal Jones in the British comedy series Dad's Army, has died;

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/t...star-dies.html

    I think that only leaves Marshall Spunge, Hodges, Mrs Fox and Pike left of the regular faces.

    Rest in peace Mr Dunn and remember...they don't like it up 'em

    Great shame, great loss, great man. Clive Dunn. WWII veteran , a really nice, funny and gentle chap.

    ‘Tis said his form is tiny, yet
    All human ills he can subdue,
    Or with a bauble or medal
    Can win mans heart for you;
    And many a blessing know to stew
    To make a megloamaniac bright;
    Give honour to the dainty Corse,
    The Pixie is a little shite.

      Ironically, for his role in, 'Dad's Army,' he had to be, 'Aged,' with makeup.

      An unforgettable character and, it seems, a very nice man.
      Indyref2 - still, "Yes."

        RIP

        Even today Dad's Army remains on the main BBC channels, is stilled enjoyed by millions of all generations and will continue to be. Which just goes to show how good all those people that were involved with it were.

          Also on Australian pay-TV, where Dad's Army continues to satisfy its large cult following.

          Clive Dunn will be sincerely mourned.

              He was 92 years old, so he had a good and fruitful innings.

              RIP Corporal Jones. Thanks for the good memories!
