I agree more libral And in the episode " Eight Bells :" They had the destroyres dropping Depth Charges on the sub.....Depth Charges ? What the . When I served in the USN in 1967 I was told depth charges were obsolite . I served on a destroyer USS Ingraham DD-694. Now , sadly, at the bottom of the Medetraiern sea . The Greeks used for target pratice later on. But getting back to my point The weapons used against Subs now a days is ASROC or Anti-Submarine Rocket . Not Depth Charges . I tried to E-Mail them but could not find their E- Mail adress any where can any one help me in that regard ?

Watched the first two episodes. Can't figure out what's going on or what's supposed to be going on.

Appears the COB knows what the hell is happening but they got him locked in a cage.

    Then the Spetsnaz attacks...

    Huh?

    Can't wait until next Thursday.

I have to agree. Other than the corpses there's really nothing tying the show to the Navy. And the NCIS is really a civilian organization.

    Cheers,

Yes but that is just a cop show that happens to be set in the military.

There was another show based around the naval aviation at Miramar. It starred Dennis Weaver as the Admiral in command of the base. Another one season wonder

For some reason Hollywood can't create a good drama using the Navy as the backdrop.

Well that plus the real US military is riddled with checklists, rules, supervisors and technical specialists who exist to prevent the sort of things that make for entertaining TV from happening in the first place.

No big surprise. Hollywood is populated overwhelmingly by left wing liberals that think the military is only there for social engineering and PC crap.

Its pilot was watched by only 9,000 and it is listed as on wobbly legs after only one episode. I say good riddance to it.

Wasn't there a book or something about a US submarine that was left alone after Cold War blows up and most of the northern hemisphere is destroyed? They could adapt it or something.
On The Beach, by Nevil Shute, film with Gregory Peck and Ava Gardner. A classic.
