    So far so good .

We've just finished Caprica . Have no idea why it flopped .

Just started watching the latter BSG again as a result. It hasn't aged, which is good.

Missus is currently watching the last normal Downton Abbey episode, before the actual last one is screened on Xmas day.

    • Doing Da Vinci

      Three episodes:
      1. Double Catapult
      2. Scythe Chariot
      3. Repeating Crossbow

It's a fairly typical build-based reality show with some faux drama thrown in but the projects are pretty interesting. 500 year old ideas from Da Vinci's sketch books, primarily military gear so far.

The least practical one I've seen is the chariot. Getting live horses hooked up to this monstrosity in the midst of a battlefield without cutting them to bits seems highly unlikely to me. The scythe blades are also problematic. They look like they would rapidly collect a large amount of debris rendering the entire machine inoperable.

I missed this when it first aired. Anyone else seen it?

        • Starting up with Boardwalk Empire.

Not sure I didn't watch it when it started. So far in Season 2 I'm a fan.

Saw the movie Entourage after binge watching the series. It felt like the script was a process of checking boxes pushing out more of the same.

Liked the series but was bored by the movie.

            • Jessica Jones.

Jessica Jones, not for the kiddies folks. Way too graphic for my liking. I'll give it one more chance but again hollyweird has gone over the top in sex and violence...

I saw it, and liked it very much, although it could do better with less sex and its main weakness is spending too much on Kilgrave plot as Jones did have other cases that were unrelated to Kilgrave in the comic books.

But if you're looking for something light, might I recommend you to take a chance on Limitless, a TV series on CBS. It's an outstanding show based off the movie of the same title. It has the right mix of comedy and serious drama.

Out of all shows this year, I think Limitless may end up as my top favorite show, which is surprising given my taste for gritty and dark tone series.

I don't mind dark, It's the porno that I could do without. Really do they have to do the constant sex scenes? I hope that Stan Lee sees this commentary. Get it out of the gutter man... Tell hollyweird to flip off..

Hollyweird is one of the reasons that the islamic world is pissed at us. And I wouldn't let my child watch one of these episodes. Wonder why they are pissed at us??? Can we go back to the comic codes of years gone past???

A bit of civility would stand us greatly...

                              • I'm currently in denial that there isn't a season 5 of Hell on Wheels. I finished the last episode of season 4 just a minute ago, and I had thought that there was another season. But when Netflix didn't show "next episode starting in 10 seconds" I was like "wait, what? No...this can't be right!"

It seems like they were definitely counting on there being a 5th or maybe 6th season, but I guess something(s) stopped it, which is very unfortunate. It still had plenty of steam, storywise, in my opinion.
