All-time, the film that made the deepest impression on me was the original Star Wars. I saw it 2 weeks after it was first released. I was 14. I was totally and completely blown-away. Nothing else has come close. Well, maybe Animal House as far as pure entertainment.

I've heard the same thing from my parents and such, that it was like the most awesome thing and/or movie in the world then

I tell ya... I could barely sleep that night. It was all-consuming.

I would have to agree. I was 1 and a half and it is one of my first memories. I also remembering crying when hon Solo was tortured in the second one.

Hard for me to write this but the story and technical aspects of the film Babe (1995) were awesome. I know it's just a pig movie.
                My worst jump story:
My 13th jump was on the 13th day of the month, aircraft number 013.
As recorded on my DA Form 1307 Individual Jump Log.

Of all the movies I have ever seen, Saving Private Ryan was the one that made the biggest impression on me.

Forrest Gump as well. Heck put any film with Hanks in it and it is first class imo

The Enemy Below rates high as well as Sand Pebbles.

Sand Pebbles is an excellent movie. McQueen should have won an Oscar for that role.

No argument from me. The book is even better.

Yeah I read the book a couple years back. It was really good.

                            Downfall

Source of a thousand parodies, but a ground-breaking film in its own right.

The humanisation of Hitler sparked some controversy, but Bruno Ganz' masterful performance as a man who knows he's staring into the abyss makes for compulsive, if harrowing, viewing.
                            Indyref2 - still, "Yes."

Master and Commander - no expectations and what an amazing experience without being overly glory (PG-13). Made even mundane life at sea interesting. Great direction, production, and acting.

Agreed-I really like that movie and have seen it a few times.
