  • What board games would you make into movies?

Okay, we have Battleship coming and they did Rock Em Sock Em Robots in that Real Steel flick. Oh yeah, and they did Clue in the '80s.

What board games would you convert to movies?

    My picks:

Diplomacy would make a good geo-political period piece.

Twilight Imperium would be awesome with modern CGI.

A Saw style version of Chutes and Ladders would be hilarious.

Hi Ho Cherry-o, a story of migrant fruit pickers.
A new life awaits you in the off world colonies; the chance to begin again in a golden land of opportunity and adventure!

      Risk.

But not an 8-hour movie version which was the time we'd spend playing it in my student days.

I heard it was also a favourite of Bill Gates and that he always won.

        Risk, perhaps? Or Stratego?

Or how about Avalon Hill's classic War In the Pacific?

Are you talking about Avalon Hill's Victory in the Pacific?

              Steve Jackson's OGRE/GEV

There would be a lot of stuff that gets blown up.

                How about chess?

Oh, it's been done in part.
