It is the best part of the movie. The rest of the movie doesn't quite rise to that level in my opinion. But they did a darn good job with this scene.

I've never seen it Brady. It's one of those films that just passed me by completely. After I read your post earlier I went and took a look at the clips available on youtube, then ended up reading for the next two hours all about Pickett's Charge, and then reading various Civil War threads on here, including the one on Longstreet. Luckily I didn't have much work to do today

We Were Soldiers during the death notification scenes and Gettysburg during Armistead's speech about Hancock in Longstreet's tent.

I'm sorry but I can't really think of one.

Although, I have heard many true human interest stories that have made me break..... I am human after all. Once found a pile of letters from a local soldier that was WIA and later died of his wounds a month later.... wrote to his parents that he was doing fine before he died... heart wrenching to read....

              My worst jump story:
My 13th jump was on the 13th day of the month, aircraft number 013.

Both of these scenes from Gettysburg are moving/inspirational.

Saving Private Ryan, that scene at the end, where the identity of the old man is revealed.

Same thing occurred to me at the end of Band of Brothers.

Okay.... I recall a few sniffles. The SBR scene was powerful during that one moment. I also like the scene in BoB when Shifty Powers says goodbye to MAJ Winters.

Totally. Maximus' journey to the Elysian Fields to be reunited with his family is complete. Proves why Russell C is such a great actor.

The scene in The Fighting Sullivans when the navy officers tell the parents of the Sullivans that all five had died.
