Excellent, CG. I only knew the first seven. I've never seen the last three, but I've always wanted to see 'Downfall.'

                Cheers,
                Dan.

Downfall was good, but my personal favorite about Hitler's last days was The Bunker starring Anthony Hopkins.

If you have access to Netflix it's on the streaming service.

                    Good flick but subtitled.

Traudl Junge (redhead, second from left) was the secretary who typed up Hitler's will, and was also a bridesmaid to Eva Braun. 'Downfall,' is based on her memoirs, which were published shortly before her death in 2002.

The closest thing the Third Reich had to an innocent, she saw Hitler as the perfect gentleman and often as a father-figure. While playing no part in War Crimes, she is often compared (unfavourably) to peace activist Sophie Scholl, murdered by the Nazis for writing and distributing anti-Nazi pamphlets (they were about the same age).

Bruno Ganz' portrayal of Hitler is absolutely stunning, and the film itself, by humanising Hitler, shows the potential for evil in all of us.

                          One is Polish actually, IIRC.
(and a lot (or all) of the nonspeaking German soldiers are actually Russian sailors.
