  • Wish Lists and Desired Books.

This is a thread where people can add titles they would like to read.

I've just added Galloglass 1250-1600: Gaelic Mercenary Warrior by Fergus Cannan to a wish list .

    And this one .

    Russia's War by Richard Overy

    Wish list.

Every last book ever published by Osprey

Hey it could happen, I just need to win the currently at 19 million Lotto 649.
Life is change. Built models for decades.
Not sure anyone here actually knows the real me.
    I didn't for a long time either.

Wish list, I wish. All the books that I am aware of would take me several lifetimes to read....then all that I would wish to read if I knew of them several more.
In the US alone something near 50,000 books a year are published, if only five percent were of my liking that means 2500 new books a year. So many books so little time.

The frustrations of the universal death sentence that we all face.

If I may add few notes:
        1. Not only am I frustrated by not having enough time to read it all, but I am frustrated that my time to apply anything that I read now with wrt to today's military problems has passed.
        2. I am also frustrated that I can not visit all of the places of historical interest and walk the terrain, whether it be the actual battleground, country, or museum. And while my work takes me around the world several times a decade, time is just not there. though I am thankful I get see a lot.
        3. And even more so with work regarding the reading of engineering methods and projects. As an engineer I work in my niche. It would be nice to explore in those other branches of engineering and see what it would be like to build a dam or a road in the Amazon, or lay the track from Moscow to St. Petersburg.

It's easiest to just do this:

If you can't set a good example, be a glaring warning.

Cost me the best part of £19, but as a fairly hefty and well researched tomb, looks good value compared with an Osprey for example. Before reading it I've decided to start the following (to gain an overview) before getting into a specific element of the campaign .

                      Next will be this :

followed by The Red Army Tank Commanders The Armored Guards by R N Armstrong .

Just finished this, which is well worth getting .
