  • Ralph Peters' U.S. Civil War series historical novels

Just finished Ralph Peters' Darkness at Chancellorsville. It is the 6th book in his series of Civil War historical novels.

All the books are good . I like reading GOOD historical novels. It can make heavy history easier to read by adding more human elements.

The sub title of the book Darkness at Chancellorsville is A novel of Stonewall Jackson's Triumph and Tragedy. Fair warning the book in no way concentrates on General Jackson.

It was a very good book. If you read it take the time to read the author's notes at the end. He has some interesting views on the leaders on both sides.

I like Peters. I'll look for his Civil War books.
