Can anyone recommend a few good beginning books on military tactics?

    Thanks.

    Welcome

You may have to expand a bit on that question, tactics are heavily dependent on time and place, ..
    Lambert of Montaigu - Crusader.

    Bolgios - Mercenary Game.

The more general the better, but modern small forces, guerrilla, or light infantry would probably be the most useful. That said, I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up at good books analyzing ancient battles.

        Thanks.

The Military Book Club has several books for its members about tactics, copies of US Army training manuals...get several to understand the basics.
