    • Just picked that up.
      Been reading these.
      1.
      2. and 3.
Decided to get back into these books. I have a shelf full, never read them, truthfully. In my job, I do alot of reading, and alot of walking.

Any suggestions on books/authors like Ken Follett, Len Deighton, and Bernard Cornwell?

        • One I just finished I will highly recommend to those who like pseudo-history fiction, Greg Iles' Black Cross. A fellow guard gave me a copy. It is a good read.

The first book is called "Game of Thrones".
"The blade itself incites to deeds of violence".

            Homer

                        • Magyar Warriors Volume 1: The History of the Royal Hungarian Armed Forces 1919-1945

The amount of work and research put into this by the authors, both longstanding experts in the field, is apparent. Unfortunately the book's price will limit its broad appeal and they are let down a bit by their publisher in the production department (photo reproduction could be much better on some of the images.)

                          • Just finished The Long Earth by Terry Pratchett. It's not a funny book but closer to hard SciFi. Also just finished Anathem by Neil Stephenson which is quite a read.
