Saw an interview with the author last week. Had some very interesting things to say.
If the art of war were nothing but the art of avoiding risks, glory would become the prey of mediocre minds. Napoleon

Looks good. I'll add it to my every growing list of things to read. At the rate I acquire books, I'll need a bigger house soon.

It has been setting on my nightstand for about a month now after purchasing it at Costco. Seems, that my books that I have reserved at the library keep taking precedence. Eventually will run out of the new books at the library and start this one.

I liked Schaill's Blackwater book. I might give this one a shot.

Not for me. His Blackwater book was crap, poorly researched, very little supporting data. His core problem is a poor understanding of how militaries work-to his way of thinking, anyone carrying a firearm is a commando.

Oops. Wrong Dirty War(s). I thought it was about this one:

If you ever want to read just how bad and nasty things got in Northern Ireland between the Provisional IRA and British combined forces, this is the book to read, hands down. Not a bad book to have should covert war get started in your neighborhood as well.

I wish people would ease up on the books. I've got close to $300 on my wish list in Amazon, and I spent $200 last month.

Between books and the damned war games, this site is gonna bankrupt me.

At least one is on Kindle for $10. I downloaded the free app.

Have for years, but I'm running out of room. Too many toys.

Lately I've been buying electronic versions. I've got 1200 e-books so far.

I read a lot of books through my local library.

If they don't have the book I'm looking for I can usually find it through the inter-library loan program which all public and state university libraries belong to.

Its a free service and I've only ran into one book that couldn't be found through the program.

I hit the library pretty often, but ours is not part of an inter-library system at the moment.
