Received a new book for Christmas (someone actually knows my tastes.) Has anyone read it? What do you think?

    Hi John
That book was discussed and dissected in depth on another forum I frequent, WW2Talk.
Some of the veterans on the forum were less than complimentary of it and overall it did not receive favourable reviews as a piece of history.

I'm a few pages in to it and am already disgusted by the depiction of the first seconds of a sexual encounter between Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun. I am trying to figure out why that was necessary. I am also trying to figure out how a book like this is written without a bibliography or footnotes.

It was a gift...what the hell. I'm sure I've read worse.
