Just as an aside to the thread, I would bet that "A Christmas Carol" would be a front-runner in this category. It's been made so many times in various guises, I've lost count. Just think, even Vanessa Williams played a version of Scrooge in a retelling of the story. Vanessa Williams! Bill Murray, George C. Scott, Patrick Stewart, and a host of others have played the role in one version or another. And I'm not even including the best of them all, Alastair Sim. I would bet that at least 25 versions have been filmed for either TV or the big screen. Anybody got any numbers on that?

    Just curious is all.
