  • TOAW III - Opponent Wanted

    Hi

Just wondering does anyone around here still play TOAW III and fancy a game?

Haven't played an opponent in ages and fancy a Game - will consider any scenario.

    Anyone?

What we've done is taken 3 massive scenarios; War in the West, Fire in the East, and Countdown to Infamy, with 6 (what I'll refer to as 'lead') players, paired off and are playing them in their chronological order. Teammates will receive END_OF_TURN(Do not send? Well we're sending it) files as well as the pbl files for review and teammates are encouraged to provide help with strategy. In addition, periodic unavailability of a player may cause him to need a fill-in. Hopefully, this will provide us with a steady tempo. I'm thinking of asking for a 48hr limit in which the turn must be either submitted, or passed off to an ally to finish.

As these are all huge scenarios, there will be temporary, perhaps even permanent positions say, to move a particular Army or group, perhaps a Navy, or perhaps a country like the Italians, or Chinese. There may be dropouts as well. So if you're interested, please PM or email me at gpomparelli(at)comcast.net. Please state any preferences.

Let me see if I can get my copy to work on Windows 7...
Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.
