  • HPS - Fulda Gap '85

    Just picked it up. Very cool.

    A nice tie-in with the WWIII-themed "Team Yankee" that I'm reading.

    I've not heard much about the HPS modern campaigns... any fans out there?

    Middle East '67 is still one of my favourite wargames, and that's despite the fact that I worked on the Squad Battles series, and was involved in varying degree in a couple of professional milsims.

    just had the fun + immersion + depth ration just right imo.

    I prefer NGP to Fulda Gap though - Fulda is too much a meat grinder for my liking.
    Now listening too;
    - Russell Robertson, ruining whatever credibility my football team once had.

          This is a game by HPS, dealing with a hypothetical WWIII-type conflict between NATO and the Warsaw Pact forces in Europe: http://www.hpssims.com/Pages/product...uldaGap85.html

          The real Fulda Gap was apparently one of the expected routes the Bad Guys would have used if they decided to come rolling into Western Europe. The other venue was the North German Plain, which HPS also has a game for: http://www.hpssims.com/Pages/product...P85/ngp85.html

              Have to agree on the Arab Israeli War title 'Middle East 67' which also features 56 and 73. In addition you can download scenarios on 48 and 82. My favourite HPS title. Wish they would do one on the Korean, Iraq-Iran and Indo-Pakistan wars in this series. I prefer this to NATO-Warsaw pact stuff.

                There is also a Korea '85 title -- maybe someone has designed some Korean War scenarios for that one?

                    They're produced by HPS: http://www.hpssims.com/Pages/product...tml#moderncamp

                    You can order direct, but they're cheaper through a reseller. I've previously bought through NWS Online, and am happy to recommend them: http://www.nws-online.net/

                    Of course, there are other places you can check as well (ebay, used book store, etc...).

                      However do you know where I can find the Iran-Iraq and India-Pakistan stuff in particular?
