  • Fall Weiss - request for supporting a wargame at Greeenlight

    I'm Leszek from Wastelands Interactive.
Our studio has released couple of wargames so far (Time of Fury, Storm over the Pacific, Strategic War in Europe) and the last one dedicated to the Case White campaign - Fall Weiss - has been submitted to Steam.

Now every and each of independent developers' game must apply through Greenlight.
We need about 2500 votes more to be greenlit. Your "Yes" vote will definitely hep us getting with a wargame to the largest digital store and popularize this genre.

    Thanks in advance.

P.S. If anyone would like to try the game, just PM me.

    Hi Leszek,

When I first saw Fall Weiss for sale at GamersGate, my curiosity was aroused. Poland's fate in 1939 was a terrible one. While Googling for more information about the game, I ran across Fall Weiß 1939, a game developed by
The Swords and published by MarkSoft in 1998, according to MobyGames. Is Wastelands Interactive's Fall Weiss an updated version of the game by MarkSoft? I ask because Fall Weiß 1939 looked like a game that I could learn a lot from.

I expect I will buy your game somewhere down the road. I have even gone so far as to purchase the book Bitter Glory: Poland and Its Fate (1918-1939) by Richard M. Watt to prepare me for the game.

As requested, I cast my vote on Steam's Greenlight. But I would much prefer to play the DRM-Free version of Fall Weiss.

    Good luck!

Those are different games and the MarkSoft title wasn't an inspiration for us.

However you should be able to learn few things from the game.
