Damn it is! Until fairly recently (middle of this year) it was still being sold and produced. Of course Neverwinter nights 2 is out.

PC game. You think I'd even allow an AOL CD in my house?

The PC game hardly qualifies as an mmorpg however. How many players can be in a single multiplayer game, 8? 16? 64?

"Enough" Yes there where server caps but it wasn't an issue.

              doesn't qualify as a "massively"morpg though

Hey, this looks pretty cool... I'm not sure why I've never given it a try.

How are the flight controls? (Please tell me it's not all mouse-driven... point-and-click...)
Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated... again...

If you didn't, or even if you did, try it again, afaik they improved it in the last expansion. And regardless, this is the game where you HAVE to do the tutorial.
Are you saying they improved the tuitorial? For me it when i was playing the tuitorial was going a lil slow but i was ok with it and then after it hit mining ores i couldnt keep up or understand. After a while i went back did it all and i cant remember if i was stuck (not understanding what it said) or that i was finished the tuitorial. im using memories i have of it from the summer and i only tried it 2 days and gave up. Since its Winter break and i got nothing to do i may try to play it again if they upgraded the tuitorial.

It is, you double click into space and your ship flies into that direction. How much sense would it make to use a joystick to fly a 1.2km battleship?

You don't fly space fighters. Smallest craft are frigates, about the length of the jumbo jet, usually much larger in overall volume.

There are one man space fighters but those are used as automatic drones launched from the carrier.

The point and click interface is actually worked into the backstory, whatever the player sees is what he actually sees in game as well, as he is hooked up into a command pod inside his vessel, and thus is commanding the ship as he would in a giant computer game..

Regardless, even if you could use joystick controls, and trust me, it has been asked a lot during the five years, it wouldn't matter much as all guns have 180 degree firing arcs and are automatically directed, all missiles are guided. High grade maneuvers can serve some purpose, but they can be easily accomplished by a point and click interface.

I have been playing Eve since May 2003, (2 weeks after release). I still find it a wonderful, challenging game. It definitely is the best, most complex and compelling games out there. Plus the technology of the game is cutting edge and the graphics put most other games to shame.

I recently reviewed my capture collection and decided to upload a few of them here. Most of them have captions as well, and I'll try to give a bit of explanation to each one of them
All of those screenshots are taken by me, ingame. The captions are mostly ingame in character stuff, might not make much sense for a non-eve player but these are mainly for eye candy anyway. This post is actually a quick copy from an ingame corporation forum.

Taken in Jita at the Sobaseki gate, where a Raptor was flying right in the engineflow of a Providence. Gives a nice idea of the scale of those things.

Again, this one's caption is pretty self explanatory. Taken ages ago in Pure Blind. The Armageddon is piloted by me, various other battleships were off screen. If I recall correctly the tower was saved by a Triumvirate gang in the end

From Pure Blind again. Taken after a sweep through surrounding systems. I'm not sure who was the killer though, might have been just a corpes floating around, there were many of those there. This picture was taken mainly to just give an idea of the scale of our ships

This picture, surprisingly, was taken in high security space, in Caldari State space. How the corpse got there, I have no idea. Again just a picture to give an idea of the scale of our ships, the body floats just meters in front of the front tip of the Buzzard

Taken at the Mordus Legion station in Pure Blind, when a capsuleer alliance used it as a waypoint for their capital fleet during the last war in the north. Capture point was about 300km away, taken from a friendly Raptor.

Some poor soul floating inside a Gallente stargate, probably dieing just seconds before his escape, not sure about the location but probably in Pure Blind.

The luckiest moment in Nuuskur's career. The vile Sanshas general stood no chance against the power of the Harbinger.

Taken on the first day of my service in the ranks of PIE Inc. A friendly fleet driving the terrorists from the field by the sheer force of intimidation

Taken after a random pirate gang foolishly engaged us at the gate. Flying mostly just old cruisers they were taken apart by gate guns and our fire. They had no chance

A portrait shot of an Armageddon class battleship, preparing to jump into Minmatar space. Piloted by yours truly.

                              A Zealot in Lantorn

Cooperation between all races under God to help in the reclaiming. A Zealot and a Vexor.

Portrait of a Retribution class Assault Ship.

A typical evening at the Kourmonen gate in Kamela. A Maak gang just escaped.

A parade shot from the frigate operation lead by Lt. Commander Merdaneth

This would have been one of my best portraits of a Retribution, if it hadn't been for that annoying HUD message. Still, my favourite picture.
