  • The Assassin's Creed - Origins.

Anybody here play this one ?

I think it's really well done, gameplay includes all the best parts of previous versions, but what impresses me most is the way the recreated ancient/Roman Egypt.

Visiting ancient monuments, or small delta villages, the incomprehensible language, watching the moon rise over the Nile, it's beautiful..

It has the feel of Western Movie, as you ride from town to city, settling local issues, or just robbing the locals, using your tested methods

Anyway if anyone is playing and has any tips or comments to share please do, if not consider it a recommendation

I have been playing this and it is a great game. Have you done the Discover game yet?

It appears to be the basic game, but without the violent Assassin aspects ?

An interesting thought I must say..

Sometimes I do feel a bit silly murdering 6-8 unsuspecting sailors, who've done nothing to wrong me, just because I want 10 pieces of wood to enlarge my quiver.

But then I remind myself it's just a game, and there was sadly no way to collect wood without committing multiple murder in antiquity

Is this a setting - or DLC ?

Does it eliminate the option of violence entirely - the storyline missions also ? Or just the random plundering ?

The article isn't really clear on that.

Edit, scratch that - I just read over it :

There are also no guards or levels or missions or collectables.
I must say after the inevitable "sprint" in the beginning to upgrade and buy things, I find myself becoming more peaceful in my travels, but after a relaxing ride through the countryside, cleaning out a bandit camp left or right is a nice change of pace

It is a DLC but it's free and there is no combat at all. It's a series of guided tours thought out Egypt and about daily life.
