    Well, this is some friendly news. Some folks are already looking for help in creating a new Warhammer 40K themed Red Orchestra 2 mod.

        I figured at least a few folks would be pleased by the news.

        The bad news is that this is just getting off the ground - they're still trying to find devs to even start.

        But Red Orchestra began as a mod and RO2 is highly moddable as a tip of the hat in that direction, so I'm not too worried.

              I don't know much about modding so a lot of this is going to be speculation...

              I don't see the Unreal engine working for WH40k due to the large amounts of melee units. The melee system is simply not in-depth enough on RO2. The only way I can se this working is if they can actually mod this area of gameplay. Is that even possible?

              If it is possible this mod could turn out amazing. Especially if we are putting this in the hands of the guys at Tripwire. They made Killing Floor and Red Orchestra as mods to the Unreal engine for Unreal Tournament, and both are fantastic!
