  • Slug wants to maybe buy olde games.

    Hello everyone.
    How are you?
I was reading a thread today about how fun it is to play Red Alert and Age of Empires.
Once in awhile, I play computer games.
Is there a site you guys go to to buy old games?
I used to go to Comp USA to buy games but I can't do that anymore.

I'm still depressed that the colors are weird on my computer when I play Panzer General II.
My new computer uses Windows XP.
It doesn't have the right colors I guess.
Anyway, if anyone has a site or two to purchase the old games, I would be grateful.
    Thanks.

Slug you might get a good deal with Chris from NWS

I've dealt with him, and he's also a respected name in wargaming.
Life is change. Built models for decades.
Not sure anyone here actually knows the real me.
    I didn't for a long time either.

Red Alert2 and Age of Empires 2 are still great. Theres a Star Wars version of AOE 2 called Galactic Battlegrounds plus an expansion Clone Campaigns, that you can still buy. Thats terrific as well.

If you have a circuit city or best buy near your house, or even a target I think you could get the games there

Since Circuit City is going out of business, you might be able to get the games cheaper

C&C Red alert is free to download legally here

Also, for Panzer General II, try running the program in Windows 95 mode and in 256 colors.

simply find the .exe file that runs it, and then right click, properties, compatabilty and tick off the options there
